With its fully integrated bar code scanning, optional Wireless Local Area Network (WLAN) or optional Wireless Wide Area Network (WWAN) communication and Pocket PC functionality, the PPT 2800 Series provides a complete, easy-to-use data management solution in a single device. Conveniently placed scan triggers and the ergonomic design of the PPT 2800 enable simple one-handed data capture operation, and a high resolution 1/4 VGA display with responsive touch-screen technology further enhance the product's ease of use.

The PPT 2800 Series utilizes the Intel® StrongARM SA 1110 processor, running at 206 MHz and comes with the processing power and memory capacity to meet any data or application need. It is fully compatible with 32-bit application development tools from Microsoft and third parties, and provides the standard PIM software and synchronization capabilities of the Pocket PC platform. An application-programming interface (API) from Motorola Symbol makes it simple to integrate bar code data capture and wireless communication into new or existing applications.
