Below is a very popular application, the creation of multipart labels. We can take a primary label size and divide it into further sections. A common application for multipart labels is in laboratories. The larger label is applied to a test specimen and the smaller labels can be applied to forms, folders, or other paperwork.

Frequently Asked Questions

  1. Do I need to provide artwork?
For simple shapes such as squares, rectangles, and circles we would just need to know the dimensions. If they need to be spaced and laid out in a specific manor we would require a drawing. Unique shapes require life size artwork. If you would like us to produce the artwork there would be a separate art work charge.

  2. What format do you require the artwork to be in?
The artwork for unique shapes and specific layouts needs to be in an electronic format. Vector based graphics programs such as Corel Draw and Adobe Illustrator are acceptable.

  3. How intricate a shape can you produce?
Virtually any outline can be die cut but you should keep in mind that you will need to peel and apply these labels at some point. Overly intricate die cuts may be difficult to peel from the liner and eventually apply. If in doubt our production team can review your ideas ahead of time and advise.

  4. Can I get more than one size or shape label on a sheet?
Yes, almost any layout you can envision can be produced. This is one of the biggest benefits of our custom laser labels. For instance, a single 8.5" x 11" sheet can contain all the labels necessary for your product as a set.

  5. Do I need special label software to print on custom labels?
In most cases a word processing program such as Microsoft Word would work on rectangles and circles. Many graphics programs also have the ability to format sheets of labels. We do offer label layout and design software and we may be able to assist you with printing templates.

  6. Can I run laser label sheets through my printer more than once?
    L
aser label printing requires printing full sheets of labels for the best results.  Therefore, it is not recommended that you attempt to run the sheet through your printer more than once.

  7. How long does it take to produce custom labels?
The lead-time for short runs is typically 3-5 workdays. Plan on 7-10 workdays for orders over 100 sheets.

  8. I am still not sure how this works or if this is the best label option for me. Now what?
Just contact our Label Expert's team for advice or assistance. Collectively we have decades of label experience and we would be glad to put our expertise to work for you.
