Labels for use in Cytology and Pathology labs. EIMINC makes labels, printed or blank, specifically engineered to withstand alcohol, various stains and xylene. Colored labels are also available enabling labs to create a color coding system. Our labels stick well to all slides and our bar code labels scan easily into any system. EIMINC also provides software and printing systems which organize your label printing.

Deciding to utilize bar codes in your lab can be a daunting task. Which bar code to pick? Will all my equipment work well with just one bar code? How do I print the bar codes? What label size do I need? Will the labels hold up in the chemistry?

These questions need answers.  We can help you with our lab experience and label expertise.

Once in place, each slide will be clearly marked with the data that you need. Typically the labels include a bar code and human readable text including patient name and Social Security Number. bar coded slide labels, 2 barcode labelsThese labels are referenced and scanned at different points in the lab depending on how closely you like to track each case.

Improved Lab Management

Tracking and Locating in the system
Reporting for workflow
Clearly identifying all slides in a case

Assignment of cases to a cytotechnologist or a pathologist is automated by scanning the slides as well as an ID card or menu with the technologist's name. More and more labs are making use of automated screening devices that scan bar codes. These devices have the ability to report back to your system the results of a screening as well as other data. At any point you can reference your system and locate a slide in the lab, whether it is in the entry area, staining or being viewed by a cytotechnologist or pathologist.

Archiving samples has never been easier. Bar codes on the slides can be scanned as they enter the storage area. When the slides are removed from the area, the bar codes are scanned again. Scanning an ID card or menu with the technologist's name also helps locate the slides after they have left the archive area.

The data generated by the system helps you to understand workflow and efficiency of your lab area. By examining the times of the scans, you can find the processing bottlenecks and address them as needed.
